🤓COSTUME HUB MNL

For our N.E.R.D section this holiday, here’s Sergio — Edrick’s ultimate dream muse for Costume Hub MNL. That superhero-worthy physique? DCU is looking for him.

A History:

Costume Hub MNL began in 2018 when fashion stylist, designer, and all-around pop culture enthusiast Edrick Paz bought costumes for a Manila Bulletin Style Weekend editorial. After the shoot, the internet (and real life) kept sliding into his DMs with one question: “Where can we rent that Spider-Man costume?”

Lightbulb moment unlocked.

Superman (2025)

Backed by his fashion education from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde and the Fashion Institute of the Philippines (FIP), Edrick turned a single suit into a full-on costume universe. Fast forward to today, and Costume Hub MNL is no longer just a Halloween pit stop—it’s a year-round playground for cosplayers, creatives, and anyone who takes dressing up very seriously.

Edrick’s menswear powersuits are minimalist, and precisely structured, presenting a controlled and refined image, while his Costume Hub MNL pieces explode into loud, highly stylized, anime-inspired superhero costumes that embrace excess and fantasy. Off the racks, Edrick’s personal collection is just as impressive—featuring Boa Hancock from One Piece figures and maquettes, and a serious obsession with Final Fantasy collectibles.

Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)

Edrick leveled up by renovating his atelier and design studio in New Manila, officially giving Costume Hub a home worthy of its growing legend. Inside? A lineup that reads like your dream crossover episode. New arrivals include DC costumes like Nightwing, Brand News Day Spider-Man, and fan faves Wednesday costumes. Not surprisingly, the most-rented costumes of all time remain Deadpool and Spider-Man—because if you’re going to suit up, you might as well choose chaos or responsibility (or both).

Batman (Dark Knight)

Come Halloween, Costume Hub basically becomes a celebrity magnet. Over the years, its costumes have been worn by our December Cover boy Lee Victor as Luffy, Kirk Bondad as Spider-Man, Gab Lagman as Superman, Kyle Echarri as Black Panther, Brent Manalo as Deadpool to name a few.

And he’s not slowing down. Looking toward 2026, Edrick plans to expand deeper into anime, movie characters, horror icons, and UN costume concepts. Coming soon? Ghostface, Valak, Jason Voorhees, Annabelle, and a much-anticipated dive into the magical world of Wicked.

For those who remember Camp Suki—the New Manila costume rental spot of the 2000s—Costume Hub MNL feels like its cool, fashion-trained successor. A new era. Gen-Z coded wardrobe.

Nightwing (Titans)

As Comic Cons and Anime Cons approaches, one thing is clear: Costume Hub MNL isn’t just a rental space—it’s a safe haven for niche obsessions, bold transformations, and anyone who believes that dressing up should never be limited to one night a year. #CoolNERD #CoolisinSession
