FOUR SACRIFICES. POINTY EARS. QUESTIONABLE DECISIONS. ONE VERY COOL HALLOW’S EVE.
Of course, we’re obsessed with dressing up! For this month’s COOL N.E.R.D., we gathered our four sacrifices (models) for a little ritual (photoshoot). Our inspiration? Digital creator Tamjeed (@iamtamjeed), whose ethereal makeup looks and experimental, shape-shifting art have us absolutely gagged. The makeup, the transformations, the freakin’ EARS! We’re obsessed with every little detail.

Our models were a little scared of the contact lenses (shoutout to Hans!), but when I asked if we could superglue their ears to give them that elvish look, everyone was surprisingly down. No hesitation, just pure commitment to the craft! Luvorboy’s creations have this mythical, otherworldly quality, like fauns straight out of Narnia or creatures who wandered out of an enchanted forest and into our studio.
Honestly, this photoshoot was such a COOL, chaotic little fever dream. Between eating salad wraps, painting faces, and blasting the models’ hair with white hairspray, we were basically running our own creature-making factory. A little makeup, stockings, Dave Arden's Good Morning ensemble, and four leotards later, our four sacrifices were transformed into ethereal beings. Who needs a Halloween party when you can summon an entire mythical universe in a photoshoot?

*OOOH! And before you worry about our four sacrifices, the Kryolan TV Paint Stick and super glue came off surprisingly easily with Kit & Co Skin Cleansing Balm. Creature transformation: successful. Cleanup: a breeze. Nobody was harmed in the making of our mythical little fever dream! #CoolisinSession #CoolNERD
