For Rutherford Perez, RUUU started with a simple idea: create accessories that feel effortless, personal, and a little bit like summer. What began as an experiment with pearls, beads, and natural stones has grown into a collection defined by its laid-back, beach-inspired energy—easy to wear in the city, but always carrying a hint of the shore.

Ruther’s eye for style was shaped long before RUUU. A former model, he got his first hands-on experience in fashion working alongside stylists, photographers, and designers, learning how small details can transform an entire look. He studied Industrial Design at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and now works as a sales designer in the architecture and interior design industry. RUUU, he says, is his creative outlet, where his eye for form, proportion, structure, and balance finds a new expression.

The idea for RUUU goes back to college, when Ruther took a jewelry and accessory design class. Years later, he returned to jewelry through silversmithing classes before discovering the ease and spontaneity of working with beads and pearls. His inspiration comes naturally from the Philippines itself—“every day feels like summer”—but the beach vibe he wants to capture is less about the literal beach and more about an easygoing state of mind.Natural stones and pearls add to that feeling, with their organic shapes and individual character making every piece subtly unique.
