⭐️MORENO KENERGY

Reclaiming the Moreno Handsome Standard

For generations, golden-brown skin has been woven into the story of the Filipino people. It is the color of farmers working beneath the sun, fishermen braving the seas, and communities shaped by resilience and warmth. Yet despite being deeply rooted in our history, moreno beauty has often been overshadowed by imported standards of attractiveness. Today, a new generation of Filipino men is helping reclaim and celebrate that identity.

Among the most prominent faces leading this movement are the Two Pinoy Kenergies; Kenneth Marcelino and Kenneth Cabungcal. Influencers, models, and national title holders, both have amassed loyal followings for their striking moreno features, undeniable charisma, and inspiring personal journeys. Through pageantry, fashion, and social media, they are proving that brown skin is not something to be hidden—it is something to be celebrated.

At 24 years old, Kenneth Marcelino's rise to prominence is a testament to hard work and authenticity. His first pageant experience was Ginoong Cabuyao, a stepping stone that would eventually lead him to larger stages. Before finding success in pageantry, he worked as both a model and a barista, juggling opportunities while building his confidence.

Two years ago, Kenneth M. discovered another creative passion when he began doing makeup for his sister, who recently represented Taguig in Miss Universe Philippines 2026. Through that experience, he developed a deeper appreciation for beauty and artistry. He also credits his former partner for introducing him to the creative worlds of fashion and photography, influences that continue to shape his personal style today.

Whether attending fashion shows or special events, Kenneth M. embraces the opportunity to express himself through clothing and visual storytelling. His love for fashion extends beyond aesthetics—it is a form of self-expression that allows him to celebrate who he truly is.

That authenticity became especially important during his pageant journey. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Kenneth M. knew he did not want to compete while pretending to be someone else. Instead, he chose to remain true to himself, becoming one of the most memorable contestants on the national stage. His megawatt smile, confidence, and remarkably dark tan helped him stand out from the crowd.

His success eventually took him to Bangkok, where he represented the Philippines at Mr. Cosmopolitan and earned the title of 1st Runner-Up, bringing pride to the country while championing visibility and representation.

Like Kenneth Marcelino, Kenneth Cabungcal's story is rooted in perseverance and humble beginnings. He was discovered during the pandemic after going viral while selling fish on the streets. The images resonated with Filipinos nationwide, not only because of his handsome features but because they reflected a familiar reality. Both of his parents are fish vendors, and Cabungcal has never shied away from acknowledging the hard work that shaped him.

Beyond modeling, he is also a professional butcher—a skill he considers valuable should he ever decide to work abroad. What many people do not realize is that he is also a graduate of Civil Engineering, demonstrating that his ambitions extend far beyond the fashion and pageant industries.

Kenneth C. quickly found success on the international pageant stage. He finished as 1st Runner-Up at Man of the World and later represented the Philippines in Poland at Mr. Supranational, where his infectious smile helped him secure a 4th Runner-Up finish. Throughout his career, he has remained grounded, bringing the charm, humility, and politeness of a true probinsyano into every opportunity.

Today, Kenneth C. has expanded his role within the pageant industry as Vice President for Creatives and Marketing of the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide Organization. In addition to overseeing creative initiatives, he plays an active role in scouting, training, and mentoring future Filipino pageant kings, helping shape the next generation of representatives who will carry the country's flag on the international stage.

Together, Kenneth Marcelino and Kenneth Cabungcal represent more than handsome faces and pageant titles. They embody a growing movement that celebrates Filipino identity in all its shades. Their journeys remind us that beauty is not defined by fairness, but by confidence, authenticity, and pride in one's roots.

As more Filipinos embrace their natural complexion and heritage, the message becomes clear: brown is not merely beautiful—it is golden.
