⭐️REMEMBER THE NAME
From global pop stages to a new chapter in Philippine entertainment, Bailey May is ready to make his name known all over again.
Some names never really leave the conversation. They just return with a different story to tell. For Bailey May, that story is about coming home, finding his sound, and stepping into a version of himself that is more confident, more intentional, and ready to go all in.
First introduced to the public through his song covers, Bailey quickly captured attention with his boy-next-door charm and natural musicality. In 2015, he joined Pinoy Big Brother, finishing as the fourth Teen Big Placer. Two years later, he took his talent to the global stage as the Philippine representative in Now United, the international pop group that brought him to audiences around the world. After leaving the group in 2023, Bailey began pursuing his solo career, bringing with him years of experience in music, dance, and performing for an international audience.
Now, with GMA Sparkle and Mercator behind his next chapter, Bailey is reconnecting with the local entertainment scene—and he has plenty to prove, including to himself.
“I feel like my sound can resonate with my fellow Pinoys,” he shares when asked why now feels like the right time to return to the local music scene. After years of performing internationally, there is something meaningful about bringing that experience back home. And if there is one thing he has missed, it is the unmistakable energy of Filipino fans. “I miss and love how loud and supportive my Pinoy fans are.”
The connection goes both ways. Bailey is ready to give that support something new to celebrate, promising a brand-new version of himself when it comes to both music and dancing. This time, the goal is not simply to return to the spotlight, but to show just how much he has grown as an artist.
His musical influences remain refreshingly varied. Flow G and Skusta Clee have been on repeat lately, while a potential collaboration with Costa Cashman is already on his wish list—not just because he enjoys his music, but because they are friends. And while fans may associate Bailey with pop, he is also curious about exploring reggae, a genre he has yet to try. Consider that another clue to where his sound might go next.
As for the soundtrack to this comeback? He picks “Remember the Name” by Fort Minor. The choice feels fitting for someone who has already experienced the demands of a global pop career and is now preparing to reintroduce himself on his own terms. The name may be familiar, but the music, the movement, and the mindset are evolving.
“I’m going 100% in my craft sa lahat,” he says of what excites him most about his new chapter under GMA Sparkle and Mercator. It is a commitment that extends beyond recording songs and performing onstage. Bailey is also open to returning to acting, provided the right role comes along.
Perhaps that willingness to experiment is what makes this next chapter interesting. Bailey is not limiting himself to one lane. He wants to perform, act, dance, write, and keep discovering what else he can bring to the table. If he could create his dream project under GMA, it would be a reality show documenting his journey toward reaching number one on the charts. Think less about the finished product and more about the work it takes to get there—the process, the setbacks, the breakthroughs, and everything in between.
Offstage, Bailey is keeping things comfortable and true to himself. His current style is all about being “comfy, swag and genuine to myself,” with rapper Lunay serving as a fashion inspiration. He is just as uncomplicated when it comes to comfort food: scrambled eggs make the cut, although when homesickness hits, a British roast dinner is what he craves. And in a revelation that might surprise fans, he considers himself pretty good at cleaning. Apparently, keeping things in order is another skill in his growing repertoire.
When asked what people can expect from this version of Bailey May, his answer sounds less like a promise to return to the person they remember and more like a challenge to pay attention to the person he is becoming.
“A better songwriter and performer than we thought.”
It is a confident statement, but one that leaves room for the work ahead. The next chapter is not about recreating the past or relying on the nostalgia of his earlier years. It is about building something of his own, finding a sound that resonates with Filipino listeners, and proving that the experience he gained around the world can translate into something even more personal at home.
Bailey May has already introduced himself to the world once. Now, he is ready to make the introduction count in a whole new way.
