LE PETIT PRINCE

There are stories we grow up with, and then there are stories that grow with us—stories that evolve as we do, revealing new meanings each time we return to them. The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s beloved 1943 novella, is one of them. Written and illustrated by the French aviator, its simple watercolor-and-ink drawings have become as recognizable as the story itself. The Little Prince with his golden hair and scarf, his tiny planet, the rose, the fox, and the endless stars feel almost like sketches from a child’s imagination—but their simplicity is precisely what makes them unforgettable. Antoine had no formal art training, yet his charming illustrations gave the book a visual language that generations of readers continue to instantly recognize and love.

Perhaps this is why The Little Prince continues to feel so personal. Beneath its childlike surface is a story about loneliness, friendship, love, loss, and the strange ways adults complicate life—ideas that become even more meaningful as we grow older. We become busier, taking on responsibilities, deadlines, possessions, and expectations, yet somewhere underneath it all remains the person who still wants to look at the stars, imagine distant planets, and believe that a rose can be worth traveling across the universe for.

The Little Prince extends beyond the pages and into the things we collect. A book, figurine, illustration, stationery, or mug becomes more than just an object—it becomes a tangible reminder of nostalgia, wonder, and a younger version of ourselves we never quite want to leave behind. We collect not because we need more things, but because we want to keep a little piece of that feeling close. And, as the fox's timeless lesson reminds us, what is essential cannot always be seen with the eyes; sometimes, the things that matter most are simply the ones we feel, remember, and choose to cherish.

Now, that feeling is taking on a new form as The Little Prince partners with CHAGEE for a limited-edition collaboration centered on the new Matcha Series. It includes a limited-edition merchandise featuring a tote bag, tumblers, sleep mask, headband and other accessories inspired by the beloved story. It is a fitting collaboration for the proud COOL N.E.R.D.s  who believes that happiness can be found in the simplest of things. #CoolisinSession #CoolNERD
