👖ORIAS ESSENTIALS
In ORIAS Essentials, the bag emerges as the focal point—an object that transcends function to become a refined expression of culture, artistry, and identity. For Vin Orias, leather is sensual in its movement and evolution, shaping each piece into something tactile and alive; the proportions are meticulously considered. Drawing from Filipino heritage, sourcing raw materials such as solihiya weaves from Pangasinan, inabel textiles from Isabela, and piña fibers from Aklan, and elevating them into sculptural, contemporary forms.
This vision comes to life in this COOL Magazine fashion editorial shot at Crowne Plaza Galleria, where a summer setting is reimagined through cool tones and soft sunset hues, highlighting the richness of the designs. Modeled by Eugene Reggio, the visuals emphasize restraint and precision, allowing the bags’ form and craftsmanship to stand out—positioning them not just as accessories, but as cultural pieces and wearable works of art.
Vin Orias’s journey into fashion is grounded in a deep commitment to learning and self-development. After completing his undergraduate studies in 2009, he pursued formal training at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, where he built his technical foundation in design and construction. In 2015, he expanded his perspective internationally by studying Brand Identity at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York—an experience that sharpened his understanding of storytelling and the business of fashion. This combination of local education and global exposure continues to shape his approach, allowing him to merge structure, branding, and creativity into a cohesive design language.
A series of significant milestones mark Orias’s growing presence in the industry. He gained early exposure through Project Runway Philippines in 2015 and went on to stage his first solo show at BYS Fashion Week in 2023, a breakthrough moment that introduced his signature style to a wider audience. That same year, he showcased at Manila FAME, fulfilling a long-time dream, and most recently competed as a finalist in the Bench Design Awards 2025 with his Punto de Vista collection. He has also presented his work at the ASEAN Fashion Show held at Shangri-La BGC, signaling his expansion into the regional fashion scene. With ORIAS pieces now available in spaces in Greenbelt and a main showcase presence in Quezon City, Orias continues to grow his brand’s footprint.
Looking ahead, he aims to position ORIAS as a benchmark for Philippine luxury—bringing Filipino craftsmanship to a broader global stage while staying rooted in culture, purpose, and innovation. #CoolisinSession #CoolFashion
